We are excited to invite the entire school community to our Love of Literacy Family Engagement Night on Thursday, February 13, 2025 from 5:30-7:00 pm! This special event is designed to celebrate the joy of reading and provide fun, interactive activities to support literacy at home.

Our 5th grade students are doing a fundraiser for a field trip at the end of the year. Ordering information for the shirts will be coming home with all students next week.

Celebrating Mrs. Helen Coleman!

Mrs.Coleman, a kind, hardworking, and happy soul. She continues to love every student from kindergarten to 8th grade every single day whether she's in school or not. Everyone in the building looks up to her and admires her daily. And in 40 years she continues to make a lasting impact on Sulphur Springs. One last thing we would like to announce is how hardworking and funny she is. We love you Mrs.Coleman! 

Exploring Careers and Our World Through Virtual Reality and Flying Drones

Students have the opportunity to choose a particular work experience or a fascinating region of the globe to discover. This immersive experience transports the real world to their fingertips. It opens doors to adventures that would otherwise be out of reach, allowing them to engage with unique scenarios and environments in an exciting and interactive way.

Drones offer students a glimpse into potential career paths while allowing them to explore their surroundings from a unique vantage point. Engaging with drones fosters critical and creative thinking, pushing students to innovate and solve problems. Additionally, working with these devices sharpens motor skills, particularly improving hand-eye coordination, making the learning experience both enjoyable and beneficial.

Elementary Engineering Excellence!

Our talented elementary students have successfully conquered engineering design challenges! Using Magna-Tiles, they constructed impressive castles, and with KEVA planks, they built sturdy towers and bridges. Collaborating as teams, they diligently followed the Engineering Design Process to solve problems and create innovative structures. Great job, kids! Your creativity and teamwork truly shine!

Career Exploration and Fair

Students engage in exciting experiences and interactions with our community career partners, creating valuable connections to local opportunities. These include various businesses, organizations, and technical schools that showcase career pathways. By exploring these options, students become inspired to set goals and develop a stronger motivation for their academic work.
