TCAP Motivation

News for Students...by Students!

Remember TCAPs are again next week, get good sleep and study for them.

Remember your only limit is your mind.

Stay positive, stay focused, and continue to give it your all!

Our students have been diligently focused on TCAP testing, demonstrating impressive concentration and determination. As we know, balancing mental focus with physical activity is key to maintaining performance. Encouraging our students to take mental breaks can enhance their productivity.

We would like to mention that TCAPS will continue next week Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Then will finish Tuesday 29th. One more thing we would like to mention is that 8th grade prom will be May 10.

Keep up the great effort, everyone!

Growing Butterflies

🐛Our kindergarten classrooms have been diving into the fascinating world of butterflies and insects!

🌼 Students have engaged in hands-on learning by observing the life cycle of butterflies and crafting 3D insect models using creative materials like pasta and candy.

The final product required students to include a head, thorax, abdomen, 6 legs, 2 antennae, and 2 eyes. This project not only fosters creativity but also enhances understanding of living things.

Creative and engaging!

SSES Girls On the Run

The Girls on the Run program is making a significant impact! On May 2, our dedicated team will compete in a 5K run, showcasing their commitment and resilience. Through consistent practice in all weather conditions, these young girls are not only improving their physical abilities but also developing vital social and emotional skills. This initiative fosters community, encourages positive relationships, and empowers girls to support one another.

Let's champion their journey!

Middle school art class made kinetic drawings that exercise both sides of the brain. Partners paired up to "mirror" each other's movements while also their right and left hand mirrored each other.

The artwork was inspired by the artist Heather Hansen, who uses dance choreography, yoga, and mindfulness to create her kinetic drawings.

What a great exercise in concentration and cooperation!
