Student Voice

The Career Fair held this week for all students included 11 stations to visit and speak with community visitors. Students were able to talk with people about their jobs and the education required to be successful in a variety of job fields.

The students also shared their future career plans by adding their name and career choice on the "When I Grow Up I Want to Be..." sign.

We are so proud of our peers that helped with the Career Fair. The event was planned by Mrs. Jones' Career Advising and Planning class!

Great experience for students!

Building Electrical Circuits in 2nd Grade

The 2nd-grade classes had an exciting time creating electrical circuits! Students worked together as a team, sharing their bright ideas and listening carefully to each other. Even when things got tricky, they didn’t give up!

Students are encouraged to contribute their thoughts and experimented with different types of power sources, like batteries and a solar panel. It was a fantastic and successful adventure in learning about electricity!

Medieval Finch Jousting

Another group of medieval jousters were designed and created this week by 5th grade students. once again, a new group of students used creativity and engineering skills to design and build a device attached to the Finch robot.

There were lots of measurements involved as they program the robot to knock the opposing jouster (a ping pong ball) off of the horse (a container) without harming or touching the horse. Detailed planning and repeating the programming multiple times is required to be successful.
Facing failures head on and turning them into successes! Persistence pays off!

Frog Dissection Lab

In this exciting lab investigation, 7th grade students were able to dive into the world of biology by dissecting frogs. This hands-on experience allows students to explore how cells, tissues, organs, and organ systems come together to create the body of a living organism.

Through this interactive investigation, learners deepen their understanding of the major organs found in specific organ systems. The practical nature of this lab provides a dynamic visual connection to the concepts being studied.

Engaging and meaningful!
