West View Family Newsletter

November 2024

Dear Students and Families,

As we enter the month of November, we want to take a moment to express our gratitude for your continued support and involvement in our school community. November brings not only the change of seasons but also many opportunities for learning, reflection, and connection.

This month, our students will engage in various exciting activities and projects. We encourage you to participate in upcoming events, including our Veteran's Day Program on November 11th. Our monthly STEM project will be creating and designing your very own Macy's Day Float. We will allow all students with a float to participate in a school-wide parade through the school.

Mid-terms will be available on PowerSchool for viewing on November 8th. I encourage you to go over your child’s progress with them. Please reach out to the teacher if you have any questions. Mid-term is the perfect time to understand your child's progress before grade cards become available. These conversations are invaluable in supporting your child’s educational journey.

Additionally, we will begin basketball season. Consider coming out to support our students and school community.

Thank you for being such an integral part of our school community. Together, we can create a nurturing and engaging environment for our children. If you have any questions or ideas, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Wishing you and your family a wonderful November!

Dr. Robin Street

Regular school attendance is crucial for student success. When students reduce absences, they can make academic gains. In the early grades, several studies suggest that the children who arrived with the weakest skills and attended regularly saw outsized gains in achievement. Let’s make an effort for every student to be present every day. Please let us know how we can support you.
